Share The Road Plate
CONGRATULATIONS!
As of December 18, 2007 we have received the 500th Share The Road license plate application. We still need to deposit the last checks, sort the applications in order of county, and deliver them to the Iowa DOT. When your plate is ready, you will receive a call or a note from your county treasurer. They will instruct you to take your current plate to the county office and exchange it for your new SHARE THE ROAD license plate.
I was told that the past several plate proposals have fizzled and could not reach the 500 minimum.
Thanks to everyone who ordered a plate, spread the word, and urged their friends to purchase a plate. And the big payoff is yet to come for bicyclist safety and motorist awareness.
